ヴァイオリンのハーモニクスとピアノ内部の弦によるデュオ。音色の違いにフォーカスし二種の弦楽器が色彩を共有する。元来の各楽器の特色を出しながら、どのようにして相互関係をうまく活かせるか考えた。この音楽から何かを感じていただけますように。

old fashioned chocolate fondue fountain was very much conceived as a duet for violin harmonics and the inside strings and frames of the piano. It is an exploration into the potential sonic connections between the violin and the piano. カレン パワー

アイルランドの作曲家、教育者、即興奏者で音楽学者でもある。楽器本来の響きを生かした音楽、またエレクトロニクスを用いた音楽、双方を書く作曲家である。2009年ベルファスト・ソニック・アーツ・リサーチセンター博士課程を修了。これまでにカナダのバンフセンター、アイルランドのゲストハウスにレジデントアーティストとして、カリフォルニア大学デーヴィス校にフェロー作曲家として滞在した。...

Karen Power is an Irish composer, educator, improviser and academic who writes primarily for acoustic and electroacoustic forces. In 2009 she completed a PhD in acoustic and electroacoustic composition at SARC (Sonic Arts Research Centre), Belfast, with Prof. Michael Alcorn. Throughout her PhD, Karen's works focused on the commonalities and individualities of both acoustic and electroacoustic composition aiming to develop a more integrated language, which acknowledges and utilizes such strengths. Recently Karen has spent time in residency at The Banff Centre, Canada, The Guesthouse, Ireland, Array Music in Toronto and was a composer fellow at UCDavis, California, USA. ...

記憶に残る景色、痕跡、見えているもの、見えなくなったもの、しかし確かに存在し、今も記憶の中でその様相を留めていく。曲は終始存在し続ける音像と1つの要素により全体を統率されている。限られた素材は未来ではなく過去に向いているという意味があり、これに基づく。しかし、未来を向いている部分も存在するかもしれない。

Memorable sights, impressions, things that are visible or invisible – they surely exist in our memory, modulating from how they once were. This whole piece is controlled by continuously repeated figurations and organic parts. It is based on limited material which looks not to the future but back to the past. However there might be some sections that look toward the future.

Daisuke Ehara

1982年生まれ。東京音楽大学卒業、桐朋学園大学研究科修了、東京芸術大学大学院修士課程修了。2008年第77回日本音楽コンクール第2位、2008年第1回全日本吹奏楽連盟作曲コンクール第1位。これまでに作曲を有馬礼子、池辺晋一郎、糀場富美子、権代敦彦、安良岡章夫の各氏に師事。日本現代音楽協会会員。http://www.daisuke-ehara.com

Daisuke Ehara was born in 1982. After graduating from Tokyo College of Music he completed the graduate course at Toho Gakuen Shool of Music, then gained his masters degree at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2008 Ehara was awarded the second prize at the Music Competition of Japan and the first prize at the All Japan Band Composition Competition. He has studied composition with Reiko Arima, Shin-ichiro Ikebe, Tomiko Kojiba, Atsuhiko Gondai and Akio Yasuraoka.
