In the desperation
イン・ザ・デスパレーション

2011年3月11日に日本で起きた大地震で被害を受けた多くの人達ために作曲された。隣国である日本の悲しみを共に感じ、絶望の中でも希望を持つように祈願する心を表現した曲である。

The violin solo, In the desperation, is written for the victims of the earthquake which hit on March 11th 2011. Feeling sad for our neighbor, Japan, I pray that they have hope even while they are in deep grief.

Kwon Eunsil
クウォン ウンシル

韓国釜山生まれの作曲家。啓明大学音楽学部作曲学科卒業。ライプツィッヒ音楽大学、ベルン大学、モーツァルト音楽院にて勉強した。嶺南作曲コンクール第一位。現在、啓明大学、嶺南大学、慶北大学、大邱カトリック大学にて客員教授として作曲を教える。大邱国際現代音楽フェスティバル、アンサンブル・グッドモリ、マルチメディア音楽劇場パンペラの監督を務める。

Born in Pusan.Korea. She graduated from the department of music composition in Keimyung University. She has studied Composition at Hochschule fuer Musik in Leipzig, Bern Hochschule and Mozarteum. The first Prize Youngnam Composition Competition. Now she is a composition guest professor of Keimyung University , Youngnam University, Kyungpook University ,and Daegu Catholic University. She is a music director of DCMF(Deagu International Contemporary music Festival) , Ensemble Goodmori and Multi Media Music Theater Panpera.

James Weeks
ジェームス ウィークス

ケンブリッジ大学で音楽を学んだ後、サウスハンプトン大学でマイケル・フィニッスィーの指導のもと作曲の博士号を得た。現代音楽の指揮者としても有名で、2002年にソプラノ歌手ジュリエット・フレーザーと設立したヴォーカルアンサンブルEXAUDIを設立し、以後国際的に活動している。現在ロンドン音楽演劇学校の作曲及び声楽学部で後進の指導に当たっている。

James Weeks (*1978) read Music at Cambridge, and completed a PhD in composition at the University of Southampton studying with Michael Finnissy. As a conductor he is known for his championing of contemporary music. He founded EXAUDI Vocal Ensemble with soprano Juliet Fraser in 2002, and maintains a busy international touring schedule with them. He was Musical Director of the New London Chamber Choir from 2007-11. In great demand as a guest conductor, he has worked with London Sinfonietta, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, New Music Players, L'Instant Donné, IXION, BBC Singers and Endymion. He teaches in both Composition and Vocal departments at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.
