アンドリュー グリーンウォルド

1980年ニューヨーク生まれのアメリカの作曲家。作品はアンサンブル・パンプルムース、アルディッティ弦楽四重奏、ジャック弦楽四重奏、タレア・アンサンブル、オン・ストラクチャーなどのアンサンブルや様々な演奏家により、アメリカ、カナダ、ヨーロッパで演奏されている。2003年よりアンサンブル・パンプルムースの主要メンバーである。...

Andrew Greenwald (born 1980, Queens N.Y) is an American composer whose current work engages with issues of pixelated sound material viewed at increasing resolutions; rational formal containers for that material; and didactic indexing of those containers to form a perceived whole/hole . His works have been performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe by Ensemble Pamplemousse, The Arditti Quartet, Jack Quartet, Talea Ensemble, On Structure, and numerous soloists. He has been an active member of Ensemble Pamplemousse since 2003. ...

子守唄 (鐘の鳴る中で)

当たり前の日々が、一瞬で崩れたのを、過去のこととして忘れたいと同時に、忘れてはいけない気持ちが同居します。出来ることは僅かですが、なお悲しみと不安の中にいる方に、音楽を贈りたいという思いで作曲しました。

After the sun rises, I have the same day as always, then again I go to sleep… This sort of daily life was stolen for a moment, a moment which we want to leave in the past, even though we know we should not forget. And though I can only do a little, I wished to give my music to those people who are still suffering in grief and anxiety.

...2005年、第74回日本音楽コンクール作曲部門第3位、岩谷賞（聴衆賞）受賞。2006年東京芸術大学大学院修士課程修了。同年第75回日本音楽コンクール作曲部門第2位、岩谷賞。2008～09年、情報科学芸術大学院大学にてコンピュータ音楽を学ぶ。2009年国際尹伊桑作曲賞入選。現在、若手作曲家集団「秘密結社」会長。相愛大学音楽学部准教授。

...In 2005 he was awarded both the third prize and the audience prize at the Music Competition of Japan. In 2006 he got his masters degree in composition from Tokyo University of the Arts. In the same year he was awarded the second prize and the audience prize at the Music Competition of Japan. From 2008 to 2009 he studied computer music at the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences. In 2009 he was a finalist for the Isang Yun International Composition Prize. He is currently the leader of the composers' collective, "Himitsu-Kessha", and an associate professor at the Soai University music department.
