トレントは、32年を準備に、４分３０秒作曲に、そして２ヶ月かけ楽譜におこされ、出来上がった。
間部令子のために書かれ、2011年の日本での地震ならびに津波の被害者に捧げられている。

Torrent, for solo flute, took me 32 years to prepare for, 4.5 minutes to compose and 2 months to notate.
Written for Reiko Manabe and dedicated to the victims of the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, 2011.

Ned McGowan
ネッド マックガウエン

1970年アメリカ生まれ、1994年よりオランダ在住の作曲家兼フルート奏者。作品は世界各地で演奏・委嘱、CDとして多くが録音された。アムステルダムを拠点とするカルナティック・ラボを共同で創設し、レコード・レーベルと毎月の現代音楽コンサートシリーズを手がける。またオランダの大学にて作曲を、ユトレヒト音楽院にてインド音楽(カルナティック音楽)を教える。http://nedmcgowan.com

Ned McGowan was born in the United States in 1970 and has been living in the Netherlands since 1994. His music is available on many CD recordings and has been commissioned and performed throughout Europe, North America and Asia. As co-founder of the Amsterdam based Karnatic Lab Foundation, he produces a record label and a monthly concert series dedicated to new music. Ned also teaches composition at the Faculty for Art, Media and Technology in the Netherlands and a masters Carnatic Practices course at the Conservatory of Utrecht. http://nedmcgowan.com

Santiago Tomás Díez Fischer
サンティアゴ トマス ディエス フィッシャー

アルゼンチン・カトリカ大学音楽学部卒業。ベルリンにてレベッカ・サンダース、パリにてデニス・デュフール、フランソワ・ベイル、ヤン・マレツ、フィリップ・ルルーの各氏に師事。アルゼンチンラヌース国立大学にてL.E.M.C.(現代音楽＆即興音楽アンサンブル)を組織している。楽譜はフランス、スペイン、ポルトガルで出版され、アルゼンチンでCDがリリースされている。

Santiago Tomás Díez Fischer graduated on composition and Choir direction in the UCA. He took composing lessons with Rebecca Saunders in Berlin, in the city of Paris with Denis Dufour, Francois Bayle, Yan Maresz and Philippe Leroux and in Argentina with Jorge Sad. He has created the L.E.M.C. Ensemble for improvisation of contemporary music in the National University of Lanús, where he is professor. He has three works edited in France, Spain and Portugal.
