君の逝った春は
Spring when you passed away

...長い時間がかかるかもしれない。でも胸に開いた穴を埋めるためにこそ、きっと人は生きていくのだ。帰天した多くの魂が安らかでありますように、そしてこれから生きていくための勇気をみなそれぞれが得られるよう祈ります。

...I believe that each person has their own way of healing. It might take time, however, to find the future direction for our lives. May all those who have departed move peacefully on, while we who remain, bravely may we also move on. I dedicate this piece with a prayer for all.

BIOGRAPHY

岡田 加津子
Katsuko Okada

東京藝術大学作曲科卒業、同大学院修士課程修了。九州ギター現代音楽祭作品部門で最優秀賞受賞。2003年バロックザール賞受賞。20余曲の楽譜と7タイトルのDVD作品を出版。ミニシアター(身体と音楽)、ミニシネマ(映像と音楽)シリーズの制作の傍ら、ワークショップを全国各地で行っている。京都市立芸術大学准教授。

Kazuko Okada was born in Kobe in 1962. She attended the Tokyo University for the Arts' Composition Department for both her undergraduate and doctoral studies. She has won prizes such as the Kyushu Contemporary Guitar Music Festival's composition competition and the Kyoto Baroque Saal prize. More than twenty of Okada's pieces have been recorded, and seven DVDs of her music have been released. Focusing on her Mini-Theatre (for body and music) and Mini-Cinema (for image and music) series, Okada conducts workshops all over Japan. She is currently an associate professor at the Kyoto City University of Arts.

ヒバリプロジェクトのために書かれた曲。幼少時代に家族と3年住んだ仙台の、想定外の惨事について、じっくり考える機会を与えてくれた。...過去の作品と合体させることで、未来へ向けて前進する意味合いをこめた。...

Remembering Animal Sendai (2011) was composed for the Hibari Project. It gave me pause to contemplate the mythic scale of devastation of Sendai in the spring of 2011, where my family and I lived for three years during my childhood... I tried to make sense of the present and move forward into the future by coalescing pieces of the past...

Ken Ueno

ローマ賞ならびにベルリン賞受賞の作曲家。現UCバークレー校准教授。作品は、世界各国の多種多様な著名演奏家に演奏されている。作曲家/講師として、リンカーンセンター、ケネディセンター、メトロポリタン美術館、ケルン・トリエンナーレ音楽祭、ミュージックヘボウ、ホプキンスセンター、ノーフォーク音楽祭等に招かれる。Bmop/soundレーベルから作品集をリリース。ホームページ→http://kenueno.com

A recipient of the Rome Prize and the Berlin Prize, Ken Ueno, is a composer/vocalist who is currently an Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Ensembles and performers who have played Ken's music include Kashkashian and Schulkowsky, Mayumi Miyata, Teodoro Anzellotti, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Nieuw Ensemble, and Frances-Marie Uitti. His music has been performed at such venues as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MusikTriennale Köln Festival, the Muziekgebouw, the Hopkins Center, Spoleto USA, Steim, and at the Norfolk Music Festival.
